Fraud case against new MP
Updated | By Lonwabo Miso
New ANC MP Patrick Mabilo is being investigated for fraud, the Hawks said on Thursday.

"We have a fraud case to do with his credit card," spokesman Paul Ramaloko said.
"Investigations are still ongoing."
He said the case was opened in 2012 against Mabilo, a former Northern Cape transport, safety and liaison MEC.
Ramaloko could not give more detail.
According to City Press online, Mabilo had racked up a bill of close to R200,000 in 2012/13 and had not been able to provide the necessary documents to prove his expenditure.
Mabilo was number one on the African National Congress's Northern Cape's list of candidate nominations for the National Assembly.
He was sworn in as an MP on Wednesday at the first sitting of the fifth democratic Parliament.
