The Department of Education in Gauteng is set to introduce an independent law firm to probe the circumstances surrounding the death of a grade 6 pupil from Khehlekile Primary School in Thokoza.

Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane is expected to present the independent law firm to the school’s management team and the school’s governing body on Monday.
Thereafter, the MEC will also introduce the law firm to the Mbatha family.
Sibusiso Mbatha took his own life last week Monday.
The 12-year-old was found hanging in his family’s bathroom.
He was allegedly verbally abused by a school teacher over his sexuality.
