Hammanskraal man in court for ex-girlfriend’s murder
The murder case against a man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend in Maubane outside Hammanskraal has been postponed until next week Friday for a formal bail application.
The 26-year-old appeared in the Temba Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The accused appeared in the dock for the first time since his arrest last Friday.
He allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death, and later confessed to her murder in a video posted on social media.
The body of 20-year-old Kgaugelo Marota was found lying next to a tavern with multiple stab wounds last Thursday.
The accused is also charged with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed his current girlfriend.
