Human Rights Commission to visit Limpopo school after bullied girl’s death
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) in Limpopo will visit Mbilwi Secondary School in Thohoyandou on Wednesday.

The visit follows the death of a Grade 10 pupil who was the victim of bullying at the school.
The bullying was captured on a video which made the rounds on social media on Tuesday.
The girl is believed to subsequently have committed suicide.
“The commission underscores the importance of section 28 of the Constitution which determines that the best interests of children are considered paramount in all matters considering them,” the commission said in a statement.
“The commission also recognises that the Children’s Act 38 of 2005 includes bullying as a form of child abuse.
“The visit is therefore aimed at gathering more information on the tragic events which occurred within this community, and to raise increased awareness on the importance of children’s rights.”
