Updated | By Cliff Shiko
Johannesburg Council Speaker Nobuhle Mthembu was on Wednesday ousted in a motion of no-confidence vote.

The motion was tabled by Al Jama-ah which accused her of being incompetent.
Mayor Dada Morero, however, survived a motion of no-confidence against him as well as the Chief whip Sithembiso Zungu.
Nobuhle Mthembu who is an ActionSA councillor, was removed with 212 votes while 48 councillors wanted her to remain.
She becomes the latest victim of musical chairs in the city as unstable coalition politics continues.
Morero, who was accused of poor service delivery in the country's economic hub, survived a motion of no-confidence against him with 144 votes, while 75 voted in favour.
The new speaker to replace Mthembu is yet to be elected.
