Joburg motorists warned of road closures ahead of Gauteng SOPA
Motorists have been warned of several road closures in the Johannesburg CBD on Monday ahead of State of the Province address at Johannesburg City Hall.
Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi will deliver the State of the Province Address on Monday afternoon.
The provincial legislature says the public should take note of the road closures.
“The affected routes are as follows: Pritchard Street & City Hall Street (Total Shutdown), Pritchard Street & Harrison Street / Albertina Sisulu Street (Total Shutdown), Pritchard Street & Simmonds Street / Albertina Sisulu Street (Total Shutdown), Pixley Ka Seme Street and Helen Joseph Street (Partial closure).
“Routes to be used to the precinct: From Eastern Gauteng N12, N17, N3, R24 – Eastgate mall, Kensington/Betrams, Commissioner str, Rissik str, Pritchard str to FNB/Sage Parking, M2 – Rissik str, Pritchard str to FNB/Sage Parking”.
“From South-Western Gauteng: N1 south, N12 west, R82(Old Vereeniging rd.), M1 – M2, Rissik str, Pritchard str to FNB/Sage Parking, M1 – Carr str, Ntemi Piliso str, Helen Joseph str, Pixley Ka Isaka Seme str, Pritchard str to FNB/Sage Parking”.
“From Northern Gauteng: N1, N14, N3, R21, M1 – Jan Smuts Eve, Ntemi Piliso str, Helen Joseph str, Pixley Ka Isaka Seme str, Pritchard str to FNB/Sage Parking, R24 – Eastgate mall, Kingsinton/Betrams, Commissioner str, Rissik str, Pritchard str to FNB/Sage Parking.”
