Joburg residents warned of ‘major’ water cuts
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Johannesburg Water has warned of significant water disruptions starting Friday evening due to the need to perform critical maintenance.

Maintenance is expected to take place three days to complete.
The water board says the maintenance is necessary to install new isolation valves at the Hector Norris Pump Station and “enhance water service delivery across the city".
Residents of regions B, E and F will experience no water supply during the outage.
This includes the Johannesburg CBD, Newtown, Selby, Jeppestown, Doorfontein, Forest Hill, Turffontein and Rossetenville.
Water tankers will be deployed to the affected areas.
