A female teacher was shot and killed at a KwaZulu-Natal primary school.

The incident occurred on Monday morning at the Phikiswayo Primary School in Ntuzuma, north of Durban.
It's reported two assailants opened fire, killing the 46-year-old teacher, inside the school premises, in full view of pupils and her colleagues.

"The Department of Education in KwaZulu-Natal is shocked about what has happened in Phikiswayo School in Lindelani, Ntuzuma, where a female educator was shot to death by two gunmen," said spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi.
Hlomuka has sent his condolences to the teacher's family and called on anyone with information to come forward.
