Lesufi slams violence at Parktown Boys’ High

Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi has condemned a violent altercation between pupils at Parktown Boys’ High in Johannesburg.

A video of a Grade 12 pupil hitting another has gone viral on social media.
The department says the video was recorded on Thursday afternoon.
Spokesperson Steve Mabona says the incident took place at school’s tuck shop.
"Disturbing video footage of the alleged incident shows one learner violently attacking another learner before being stopped by a group of learners.
"This video has since gone viral while the learners involved in the altercation have, subsequently, been suspended.”
