A Limpopo police sergeant linked to insurance-related killings is expected to appear in the Polokwane District Court on Friday.

The 43-year-old woman faces six counts of murder and around seventeen cases of fraud.
She was arrested immediately after reporting for work at the Senwabarwana police station outside Polokwane on Thursday.
National police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said the arrest was made following a lengthy investigation.
The police officer allegedly began her killing spree in 2019.
Mathe said the sergeant received about R10 million in insurance payouts following the suspicious deaths of six people.
It is reported that two more women were taken in for questioning by the police a few hours after the arrest of the police sergeant on Thursday.
Apparently, some of the victims were related to the two women.
“We are still busy with the investigations. The investigation will reveal who was assisting her in these particular cases,” said Mathe.
“But what we know is that she preyed on destitute, disadvantaged, and mentally disturbed people.”
