Ramokolo claimed she was employed as a pharmacist at WF Knobel and Mankweng Hospitals, respectively.

In a statement released on Thursday, the department described her claims as “baseless” and “without merit”.

Ramokolo went viral on social media just days after the outing of bogus doctor Matthew Lani, with people also expressing their doubts about Ramoloko’s qualifications.

She has been seen at social gatherings wearing scrubs and a coat bearing the university's name and logo.

The University of Limpopo has already confirmed that it has no existing record of  Ramokolo, who has been masquerading on social media as a master's student at the institution.

Limpopo Health spokesperson Neil Shikwambana said there is no record of her employment at WF Knobel or Mankweng hospitals.

"The Limpopo Department of Health takes matters of professional qualifications and patient safety extremely seriously. It is crucial that the public has trust and confidence in the healthcare professionals who provide essential services in our healthcare facilities.

“The mushrooming of imposters falsely claiming professional qualifications not only undermines the integrity of the healthcare system but also poses significant risks to patient welfare.

“We urge the public to be cautious and vigilant when seeking healthcare services," said Shikwambana.

Shikwambana urged the public to verify qualifications and credentials before seeking advice from healthcare professionals.

"The public is made aware that there is nothing wrong with a patient requesting proof of registration with the relevant regulator or statutory body whenever they feel uncomfortable or have doubts.

“The Limpopo Department of Health is working closely with the relevant authorities and institutions to ensure that appropriate legal action is taken against Ms Nthabiseng Ramoloko for her deceptive actions. We will continue to prioritise the provision of high-quality healthcare services and maintain the integrity of our healthcare system," he added.
