Limpopo Health warns of bogus Covid-19 researchers
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The Department of Health in Limpopo has warned of bogus Covid-19 researchers attempting to dupe residents.

Department spokesperson Thilivhali Muavha says the bogus researchers draw blood from community members claiming they are from the department.
"These are not genuine researchers, and neither are they do not come from the Department of Health. We don't know where they are coming from and we don't know what their intentions are.”
Muavhu has urged residents to report the suspects to the police when they see them.
"If anybody does research for on behalf of the department, or under the permission of the department they are likely going to enter the communities through established channels such as councillors, traditional leaders and ward committees... these ones are unknown and are not genuine.”
Muavhu added in some cases these bogus researchers offer groceries and money in exchange for blood.
