Limpopo poaching accused held

Five men accused of rhino poaching have been arrested in Gravelotte, Limpopo police said on Thursday.

The men, aged between 26 and 38, were arrested on Wednesday after police were tipped-off, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said."The police receive a tip-off that five occupants of a white VW Polo were on their way to poach a rhino at a private game farm in Letsitele.
When the car was stopped at a road block police recovered a .375 Sako hunting rifle, a silencer, a butcher's knife, an axe, and eight rounds of ammunition. The men would appear in the Phalaborwa Magistrate's Court on Friday.
