A 43-year-old suspect has been arrested in Limpopo for transporting dagga worth R1.3 million.

On Tuesday, he was apprehended in Letsitele after police received a tip-off about a vehicle transporting dagga from Eswatini to Zimbabwe.
"The vehicle was spotted along R529 at Mafarana Village and stopped and searched," says police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba.
"The team found 10 compressed bales of dagga weighing 217.2 kg with an estimated street value of R1.3 million.
"The suspect was immediately arrested for illegal dealing in drugs, and the dagga was confiscated."
The suspect is expected to appear before the Ritavi Magistrate's Court on Thursday, facing a drug dealing charge.
