Limpopo police urge calm after woman's fatal stabbing
Updated | By Emile Pienaar
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has called for calm in Shawela Village, outside Giyani, following community protests in the early hours of Monday.

According to police spokesperson, Hlulani Mashaba, protests erupted as residents took to the streets and blocked roads.
Mashaba said the suspect fled the scene on Sunday morning after the woman was allegedly stabbed to death.
He said the community demanded swift action against the alleged suspect, leading to protests.
Mashaba said lawlessness cannot be tolerated, and asked the community to allow the police the space to do their jobs.
"We wish to reiterate that we have already established a dedicated task team to track down the suspect, and the arrest of the suspect is imminent,” said Lieutenant General Hadebe.
