Limpopo woman jailed for husband's murder

The High Court in Polokwane has sentenced a 47-year-old woman to 25 years in prison for the murder of her husband.

Kedibone Nyathi, contracted three hitmen to kill her husband, Sandy Nyathi in Enable village in December 2022.
The National Prosecuting Authority in Limpopo said one of the men pretended to attack the wife while two others stabbed her husband to death.
The accused pleaded guilty to killing her husband.
"She was previously charged alongside three young men who she contracted to kill her husband for a few of R15 000," said NPA spokesperson, Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi.
"After their conviction and sentence, the trio became state witnesses and the case against Nyathi was separated,"
The State witnesses were idntified as Remember Malepe (19), Ethen Raganya (18) and Poopo Mabela (18).
Malepe was sentenced to an effective 10 years, Raganya and Mabela were sentenced to an effective 8 years.
