The body of former KwaZulu-Natal rugby player Lindani Myeni landed in South Africa from Hawaii on Saturday.

This as his family prepares to file for a wrongful death lawsuit against the Hawaii police.
Myeni was shot and killed by the police two weeks ago.
The police department was responding to a 911 call from a woman who said there was an alleged burglary.
Family members, friends and government officials gathered at the OR Tambo International Airport to receive his remains.
“We hope the Hanolulu police department will cooperate in releasing important information about the investigation into the death of Lindani, if this happens, we will be at peace,” said Social Development Minister Linidiwe Zulu.

“We come from a very painful past of apartheid and such instances remind us the past. A human rights violation and a total disregard for black lives, we call on the US government to provide a full report as speedily as possible.”
Myeni’s aunt, Beatrice Nhleko said she had one message for the police and government in the US.
“We are not painted black, we are black. It’s not a mistake that we are black, it’s within our DNA and God is a God of multicoloures,” she said.
Myeni will be laid to rest in Empangeni, where he was born and raised.
