[LISTEN] Resolve this matter peacefully, Lesufi tells Vodacom
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
ANC Gauteng deputy chairperson Panyaza Lesufi has cautioned Vodacom to tread carefully when dealing with the non-payment of Please Call Me inventor Nkosana Makate.

Lesufi was speaking during a protest in support of Makate outside Vodaworld in Midrand on Thursday.
Vodacom and Makate are embroiled in a legal battle over compensation for the 'Please Call Me' invention.
In 2016, the Constitutional Court ordered the two parties to negotiate and to agree on reasonable compensation.

The network provider has put an offer on the table which Makate has labelled as an insult.
Lesufi said South Africans will not lie down until Makate is paid what is due to him.
"As of tomorrow the message is clear: This product called Vodacrook does not want our services. We are sending a very strong message that this Vodacrook cannot be available when we are watching soccer, we don't want them.”
He added that the ball is now in the cellular giant’s court and that it is up to the company to resolve the matter peacefully.
