Loss of 13 congregants 'felt deeply by the families' - Pentecostal Church
Updated | By Nokukhanya Mntambo
The leadership of the Pentecostal Holiness Church have broken their silence following the death of thirteen congregants on Thursday.

"This loss is felt deeply by the families. It is for this reason we thank members of society, community leaders and leaders of political parties from across all corners of the country for the messages of condolences to the families," says the church's Bishop Moses Sibiya.
The thirteen died after the roof of the Pentecostal Church collapsed in Dlangubo, Empangeni in KwaZulu-Natal.
Sixteen others were injured in the collapse and are receiving treatment in hospital.
The roof is believed to have given way under heavy and persistent rain during a Passover service.
Condolences continue to pour in from across the country, with various visits from government delegates.

"During this period of mourning, we wish to inform the people of KwaZulu-Natal, that as the leadership of the church we will work with KwaZulu-Natal provincial government under the leadership of Premier Willies Mchunu to co-ordinate all activities between now and the day of the funeral."
