A man has appeared in court in connection with a deadly gas explosion at Zodwa Special School in Atteridgeville, Pretoria, on Wednesday.

Two contract workers were killed, and four others were injured in the gas explosion.
Moloko Ramogwadi, who appeared in the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court on Monday, is facing two charges of murder and three of attempted murder.
The company hired Ramogwadi to build extra classrooms at the school, but he was fired on Tuesday, 22 August.
A spokesperson for the NPA in Gauteng Lumka Mahanjana said Ramogwadi was arrested the day after the explosion.
"It is alleged that the following day on 23 August 2023, Ramogwadi went back to the school, and another company employee asked why he was there, and he said he was collecting his tools.
"It is further alleged that Ramogwadi proceeded to open gas tanks, while the other workers were still on-site and a fire broke out. Two other workers died on the scene, and three others were taken to hospital," said Mahanjana.
The case has been postponed to Friday.
