EMS spokesperson Xolile Khumalo has warned residents to remain vigilant when using electrical appliances and other potentially hazardous materials.
“The early days of winter have already brought devastating and traumatic fire incidents, continuing to menace and ravage our communities.” said Khumalo
“The City of Johannesburg EMS extends its condolences to the affected family and continues to urge all residents to practice extreme caution, particularly during the winter season when fire risks increase significantly.”
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
