Police in Limpopo are investigating two counts of murder and culpable homicide after a 37-year-old man allegedly killed his wife, Thandi Mathebula (39), and stepdaughter, Sharon (17), on Tuesday.

It is alleged that the 37-year-old man took the family car and drove head-on into an oncoming truck near Bela-Bela.
Police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says the man died instantly.
Police found the lifeless bodies of the wife and the step daughter in the family's house.
"It is alleged that neighbours became suspicious and went to check at the house. Someone was then seen lying on the kitchen floor inside the locked house. They immediately contacted the police and on arrival. They forced opened the door and discovered the woman lying dead on the kitchen floor and the lifeless body of her daughter in the bedroom," says Mojapelo.
Police investigations have revealed that the wife and step daughter were strangled.
