Police in Limpopo have launched a manhunt for unknown suspects who dismantled and removed valuable components of an electrical transformer at a farm in Witpoort near Lephalale.

According to police reports, the suspects gained access to the property by cutting through the perimeter fence.
The police’s provincial spokesperson, Malesela Ledwaba, says the damage and theft were discovered by an employee during a routine security patrol.
“The estimated value of the damage and stolen items is thousands of rands,” said Ledwaba.
He added that attacks on electrical infrastructure have serious consequences on communities and the economy.
Ledwaba has pleaded with the public to come forward should they have information that can assist with the case.
