Updated | By Masechaba Sefularo
Vusi Matlala has abandoned his bid for bail while his wife, Tsakani Matlala, was granted R20,000 bail.

The Matlalas appeared before the Alexandra Regional Court on Tuesday.
The couple faces charges linked to the alleged botched assassination attempt on Matlala’s ex-girlfriend, Tebogo Thobejane, in 2023.
Matlala and his wife have been charged along with two others who are alleged to be the triggermen in the failed hit.
