Mbalula: ANC to discuss Mkhwanazi allegations on Monday
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula said the party’s leadership will on Monday deliberate on the allegations made by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.

The province's top cop alleged political interference into police operations involving Police Minister Senzo Mchunu.
Mchunu, who is a senior ANC member, is also expected to present his case before the party's Integrity Commission.
President Cyril Ramaphosa will on Sunday brief the nation on the matter.
Mbalula spoke to the media in Barberton ahead of former deputy president David Mabuza’s funeral.
"We wait for Sunday, family meeting, all other matters that relate to this particular issue.
"Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, implications, intervention that the president would have analysed, will get and receive full attention of the ANC on Monday."
Mkhwanazi claims some leaders protected politically connected individuals from prosecution and used state resources to target whistleblowers, naming Mchunu as the one who allegedly obstructed members of the task team on political killings from arresting possible suspects in Gauteng.
