Mbenenge sexual harassment hearing postponed to next month
Updated | By Masechaba Sefularo
The Judicial Conduct Tribunal has postponed the hearing into allegations of sexual harassment against Eastern Cape Judge President Selby Mbenenge to next month.

Earlier on Tuesday, the tribunal sat briefly and announced the decision to allow testimony by gender expert Lisa Vetten, despite objections by Mbenenge's legal team.
They argued that the defence received the evidence summary too late and that her testimony was irrelevant.
However, Tribunal President Judge Bernard Ngoepe ruled that the relevance of Vetten’s testimony would be decided after she had been allowed to testify.

Mbenenge has been accused of abusing his power and making unsolicited sexual advances against High Court secretary Andiswa Mengo.
A charge he denies.
The hearing, which was expected to last until Friday, will resume from June 30th to July 11th.
