Military truck involved in deadly Diepkloof crash
A crash involving a military truck and a car has claimed the life of one person.
The crash occurred on Tuesday morning on Chris Hani Road in Diepkloof.
“There’s been a fatal accident on Chris Hani Road, west bound in Diepkloof, involving a military truck and an Opel Corsa,” says spokesperson for the Johannesburg metro police Xolani Fihla.

“At this present moment it hasn’t been determined what was the cause of the accident but the driver of the Corsa was declared dead on the scene.”
Motorists have been urged to use alternative roads like the Golden Highway, Soweto Highway and Rand Show roads .
“Chris Hani road west has been closed off to traffic. Expect heavy delays on Chris Hani road west. Officers are present to divert traffic.
