The State says more charges will be added against the man arrested for the murder of the daughter of former South African Medical Association Chairperson Kgosi Letlape.

Siboniso Zitha handed himself over to authorities after Thembekile Letlape's body was discovered at his home, last month.
Zitha, who has since abandoned bail, faces a charge of murder for his alleged involvement in Letlape’s death.
The accused also has a pending assault and malicious damage to property from 2022 where a warrant of arrest was issued against him after he failed to attend further court proceedings following his release on bail.
“The State has since charged Zitha with two outstanding counts of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm as well as a charge of malicious damage to property. These charges were laid by his ex-girlfriend in November 2022 and will be consolidated with the murder charge.
“The state will further pursue an additional charge of perjury against Zitha for allegedly lying to the court about having pending cases against him,” explained National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Phindi Mjondwane.
Letlape, who had made a name for herself as a pastry chef affectionately known as the Pastry Princess, was laid to rest earlier this month.
The grim discovery of her lifeless body was made by concerned family members who had received a distress message from the deceased, in which she said she had been assaulted by her boyfriend [Zitha].
The relatives requested the police to accompany them to her residence and arranged for a locksmith to help them gain entry.
It’s reported that when they entered the premises, they found the body.
