More water woes for Tshwane residents

Residents in several areas in the City of Tshwane could struggle with water supply due to the repair work being undertaken by Rand Water.

The work follows the failure of some equipment at Rand Water’s Mapleton Booster Station which feeds the Vlakfontein and Bronberg Reservoirs that, in turn, supply water to Tshwane.
Tshwane spokesperson Selby Bokaba says the repair work is expected to take up to 14 hours.

“According to the water utility, repairs commenced at 17:00 (Wednesday) and are anticipated to take 14 hours to conclude. It is, however, unfortunate that this has impacted on Rand Water’s pumping capacity at the station which is currently operating at 58% (430 MI per day).”
