Updated | By Bulletin / Jacaranda FM
Tshwane Mayor Nasipi Moya has apologised to residents affected by a five-day power outage in the Queenswood area.

She says teams have been working day and night to resolve 17 cable faults.
So far, teams have been able to resolve three of these cable faults.
The Queenswood area in Tshwane is supplied by the Blesbok Substation, which was severely vandalised in 2024.
Moya says refurbishments to the substation are planned for the 2025/26 financial year.
“Our alternating teams will continue to work into the weekend to restore power to the area,” Moya said in a statement on Thursday morning, adding that the restored areas are on the south side of Woodlands.
“Additionally, our teams have identified five cable fault locations, and work has started to restore power to the remaining 50% of Queenswood. The areas still outstanding include Clapham and Queens, Corner Meara, Dustan, Woodlands, Engel and
Clapham High School.”
