Mpho Mafole's alleged killer was out on bail, court hears
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The case against the man accused of the murder of Ekurhuleni chief auditor Mpho Mafole has been postponed to 16 August for a formal bail application.

Thabani Ntshali-Ntshali appeared in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Mafole was gunned down last month while on his way home in Kempton Park.
The court heard that the 40-year-old man was out on bail for a separate murder trial at the same court, where he was released on R5,000 bail.
Before he was killed, Mafole was investigating a R2 billion revenue shortfall at the municipality.
Meanwhile, police are still searching for the second suspect, Hlanganani Mncwango, who is linked to Mafole's murder.
The accused has been remanded in custody pending his bail application.
"Ntshalintshali is also facing another pending murder case scheduled for trial on 12 and 19 August 2025. Due to this outstanding case, the State will oppose the bail application. The investigation is ongoing and further arrests cannot be ruled out." said NPA spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane
