The N3 Toll Concession says it's anticipating high traffic volumes throughout the weekend.

With today being the last day of the year, more people are expected to be out and about on the roads.
Spokesperson Con Roux says they're expecting traffic volumes to increase from today.
"We are advising motorists driving in those peak traffic conditions to be please be patient, and to observe all the traffic laws. It's imperative that a safe following distance be observed," he said.
Roux says 1500 vehicles were recorded per hour yesterday at the Mooi River Toll Plaza.
He's urged holidaymakers driving back home on Monday to leave early - to avoid being stuck in heavy traffic.
