No indication yet of long weekend loadshedding schedule
Eskom has not yet confirmed whether there would be loadshedding over the long weekend.
This after the power giant implemented stage 2 on Wednesday night.
On Thursday morning loadshedding was suspended.
The DA's Kevin Mileham says Wednesday's loadshedding returning, will bring more economic devastation and will leave families across the country in turmoil.
"The DA shares in the outrage of all South Africans at this bout of Loadshedding with zero notice. We stand together in outrage. This shows the incontrovertible need for a competitive energy generation market.
"The DA calls for Eskom's immediate horizontal unbundling to break its monopoly and end its ongoing failure to meet South Africa's electricity needs. South Africa needs new generation capacity to be built now!
"This is an immediate and pressing concern for our nation."
