No political party has all the answers, says Mbeki

Former president Thabo Mbeki says there is no political party with all the answers to the country’s problems.

Mbeki spoke in eThekwini on Sunday.
The former president has been campaigning for the ANC ahead of the 29 May elections.
Mbeki acknowledged that South Africa's myriad of problems require a solution beyond politics.
He proposed a dialogue between various sectors of society to discuss solutions to the country’s challenges after the conclusion of the May 29 polls.
"All of us know the problems facing the country, whether it’s unemployment or crime. They require solutions, and they require that we think together,” Mbeki said
"The idea that there's a political party that is sitting there, like the ANC, which has got answers to these problems is a wrong conception. South Africans must participate in the process of determining the future of this country. That is what's called self-determination.
"Engagement is important because we must talk about South Africa today. We must talk about winning the elections at the end of May, but we must ask ourselves what comes after that," added Mbeki.
