Updated | By Jacaranda FM
The South African Police Service has moved to dismiss reports of an alleged raid on the home of Dudu Myeni, the late former South African Airways board chairperson.

Myeni, implicated in state capture of the national carrier, died in June 2024.

The report, which has been widely shared on social media, claims the National Intervention Unit descended on Myeni's home, which is now owned by her son Thalente, and found R18 million in a safe.
National police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe has cautioned the public against spreading fake news.
"The SAPS calls for responsible social media reporting and for users to verify information before sharing. We, therefore, confirm that no raid was undertaken by any of our units, more so our National Intervention Unit."
