The case against Norma Gigaba has been postponed pending an application to the High Court in Pretoria in which she challenges her arrest.

Gigaba, who has chosen to go by her maiden name Mngoma, made a brief appearance in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
She is the wife of former cabinet minister Malusi Gigaba and is facing charges of crimen injuria and malicious damage to property.

The charges relate to the damage of a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG belonging to her husband's friend.
Her lawyer Victor Nkwashu says the team is waiting for the state to furnish them with the outstanding documents.
"This is to allow the state to get the outstanding disclosure to be given to us and to allow the process in the high court to be concluded and thereafter a decision will be taken regarding this matter.”
The matter will be heard on October 23.
