Nosicelo Mtebeni murder accused pleads guilty to all charges

The man accused of killing and dismembering 23-year-old Fort
Hare student Nosicelo Mtebeni has pleaded guilty to murder and defeating the
ends of justice .

Alutha Pasile appeared in the High Court in East London on Monday.
Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in the Eastern Cape Anelisa Ngcakani says the court accepted his guilty plea.
“The accused Alutha Pasile was asked to plea today by the court of which he pleaded guilty to both counts to murder and attempting to defeat the course of justice.
“The state accepted his guilty plea, the court accepted his guilty plea and the judge subsequently found him guilty for murdering Nosicelo and also for attempting to defeat the course of justice.”
Nosicelo was killed in August. Her body parts were found in a suitcase which was dumped outside a house in Quigney, East London.
Ngcakani adds that the defense will be submitting a pre-sentencing report on Thursday.
“At the moment the state is leading witness evidence for purposing of sentencing and also the defense ask to submit the pre-sentencing report on Thursday which will speak more on the accused and his circumstances and also about the deceased as well so that the judge makes an informed decision when it comes to sentencing.”
