NPA’s Hermione Cronje hails access to Zondo commission evidence
Updated | By Neo Motloung
Advocate Hermione Cronje, the head of the National Prosecuting Authority's Investigating Directorate, has hailed amended regulations which will allow the commission of inquiry into state capture and the NPA to share information.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has amended regulation 11 of the commission which will allow law enforcement agencies to access evidence presented at the commission.
Cronje says this also includes underlying information that is not in the public domain.
"But in my view, more importantly, what this amendment does is to allow the NPA to employ and access the resources, the people with the skills and the capability to investigate state capture, that what the amendment allows to access without restraint.”
Cronje says the NPA has started rooting out corruption at law enforcement agencies by arresting high-ranking police officials who are involved in criminal activities.
"And we are continuing with those investigations and prosecutions... and this injections of resources allows us to wrap it up much more smoothly."
