Emergency services in Johannesburg has confirmed the death of one person in a fire in Magaliessig, Sandton.

The fire broke out early Friday morning at a residential building.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
"At approximately 05:53 this morning, EMS responded to another fire incident in Magaliessig, where tragically, one male lost his life," said EMS spokesperson Xolile Khumalo.
This follows the deaths of four children in yet another fire in Mayfair on Monday, due to smoke inhalation at an unregistered day care centre.
On Wednesday, a dozen shacks were gutted by fire in Jeppestown.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities have called for vigilance as the country moves into winter.
"EMS is urging all residents, especially those living in informal settlements, to exercise extreme caution when using heating devices, candles, or any open flames,” Khumalo said.
