Ons bly hier, ons is Suid-Afrikaners - Ramaphosa
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa says the country will not shy away from tackling societal issues and advancing democracy.

This comes after a group of Afrikaners were resettled in the United States as refugees this week, after fleeing alleged 'persecution'.
Earlier this week, Ramaphosa described the group as cowards.
The US government has accused the South African government of persecuting certain minorities following the signing of the Land Expropriation Act.
Ramaphosa addressed the ANC’s Northern Cape provincial executive committee induction in Kimberley on Friday.
"The National Democratic Revolution is really about building a new nation, with a new national identity as an African country which is underpinned by non-racialism and non-sexism,” Ramaphosa said.
"It should be about unity in our diversity, none of us ever having to want to run away to another country for fictional reasons that we are being persecuted," he chuckled
"None of us should ever feel that they have lost courage, that they've now become cowards and want to run. Ons bly hier, ons is Suid-Afrikaners en ons sal hier bly (We are staying here, we are South Africans and we will stay here)
"We will tackle our problems as we move more towards that national democratic society.”
Next week, Ramaphosa is expected to meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington in an attempt to mend strained relations between the two countries.
