People flocked to KZN Midlands to see the snow
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Roads became jammed in parts of the KZN Midlands yesterday as snow chasers tried to find their piece of the province's winter wonderland.

The N3 Toll Concession says more than a thousand cars per hour were recorded passing through the Mooi River Toll Plaza this despite warnings for motorists to avoid travelling through the cold spell.
Snow was recorded in parts of the Berg and Midlands including Dargle, Impendle, Nottingham Road and Mooi River.
The concession's Con Roux says many of the back routes became congested.
"We have had traffic volumes in excess of a thousand vehicles an hour through Mooi Plaza, primarily people who appeared to be heading out to snow watch in the midlands.

"I would just like to make an appeal to people, please do not do that. Its actually creating a very dangerous situation because travelling conditions on the roads are extremely hazardous" he said.
