Emmanuela David, Floriana, and Ndilinasho Joseph appeared before the Modimolle Regional Court on Monday to begin their trial.

They face charges including conspiracy to commit housebreaking with intent to steal, theft, and money laundering.

Speaking to SABC News, Limpopo NPA spokesperson Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says the matter was postponed due to Floriana's medical condition.

"We were ready to proceed with the trial today, having six witnesses. However, the defence of accused number 2 has brought an application due to Floriana's medical condition (being heavily pregnant). The application was not opposed, and the court has granted it.

"The legal representative of Immanuwela and the state did not oppose, given the medical condition. The court granted the application, and the trial is scheduled to commence after three months, starting from 15 September until 8 October 2025."

The state intends to bring more than 20 witnesses.
