Police investigating after child porn video goes viral
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile
Police have confirmed a specialised team is investigating a case of possession and distribution of child porn.

It comes after a video showing a minor in a sexually explicit manner was leaked on social media.
The video was first circulated on Facebook on Wednesday, with many users requesting it be sent to them.
News of the video is now trending on Twitter, with the video also being shared on this platform.
The video had also been uploaded onto YouTube, but has since been removed.
Police spokesperson Vishnu Naidoo says a specialised electronic crime investigation team is working on the case.
"We have a specialised team within our Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit and they have been informed about this specific video. Anyone who has received and distributed this material is very likely to face charges of being in possession and distributing child pornography," Naidoo says.
He warns those who receive the video should delete it immediately.
"It's a criminal offence to have the video in your possession. We have been arresting people and charging them for just merely viewing it on their devices and sharing it. So we want to warn people to immediately delete it," He says.
Naidoo says those who receive the video or come across any material depicting child pornography should report the matter to the nearest police station or call CrimeStop's toll free number 086 00 10111.
