Police reservist killed in Springs heist
Updated | By Neo Motloung
One of the suspects killed during a cash-in-transit robbery at Dawn Park on the East Rand on Wednesday was a police reservist.

This was revealed by the Police Minister Bheki Cele when he visited the area on Wednesday afternoon.
The shootout between the suspects and the police ensued after the gang targeted a cash vehicle along Galahad Road in Ekhurhuleni.
The police were notified of the incident and closed in on the suspects in Klipoortjie, but they managed to flee with an undisclosed amount of money.
"I'm told he is the one that owned the house where all these guys were fought from and all the police responded with fire, and they all died on the scene," said Cele.
Cele said he is grateful that none of the officers involved in the shootout were injured.
