Police search for CIT robbers
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
Police have launched a manhunt for an unknown number of suspects following a cash-in-transit heist on the N1 north of Pretoria on Friday.

Police spokesperson Brenda Muridili says the suspects’ car rammed into the cash van near Hammanskraal.
"As a result, the vehicles rolled and during the process, three suspects, all armed with rifles got out their vehicle and approached the armed vehicle where the suspects allegedly used explosives to bomb the armed vehicles and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
"The guards were injured and taken to hospital."

Muridili says no arrests have been made yet.
SBV Services – whose van came under attack - says their teams are currently investigating the incident.
"SBV’s Risk & Compliance team is working closely with the SAPS to investigate the incident. Details of the incident cannot be disclosed while the investigation is underway," Mark Barrett Group CEO said in a statement.
"We will tirelessly persist in our efforts to mitigate cash-in-transit crime and together with the authorities and the CIT industry, we will ensure that the perpetrators involved in CIT attacks are brought to justice."
