Polokwane court denies bail to accused in murder of businesswomen

The five suspects accused of murdering two businesswomen execution-style in Polokwane last month will remain behind bars.

The suspects were denied bail during their appearance in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court on Monday.
Makoena Mabusela-Leshabane, 46, and her 35-year old friend Tebogo Mphuti were killed in a suspected hit while they were about to view a warehouse to rent in Magnavia on October 10.
One of the accused is the husband of Leshabane.

Limpopo police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says they face two counts of murder and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
"They were denied bail and their cases were postponed for bail application and further police investigations.
"The suspects were identified as Thabo Stanley Leshabane aged 57, John Zulu aged 30, Ndondo Buthelezi aged 25, Bhekimeze Phiyose aged 34 and Thembelani Dlamini aged 30.”
The suspects are expected to appear in court again on November 10.
