Polokwane motorists warned of road closures ahead of Limpopo SOPA
Motorists have been warned of several road closures in the Polokwane Central Business District (CBD) ahead of Thursday’s State of the Province address (SOPA).
Premier Stan Mathabatha is expected to deliver his speech at the Jake Botes hall at 10:00am.
The speaker of the Limpopo provincial legislature Rosemary Molapo says the public should take note of the road closures in the vicinity of the Hall.
"Thabo Mbeki, Rabe, Church, Bodenstein, Paul Kruger, and Market St streets will be closed for the event and will be declared the precincts of the legislature until after the adjournment of the proceedings.
"The business community in and around the vicinity and taxi associations affected by the street closures have been informed”.
Molapo says the city will not be affected by load shedding.
She said they expect 1 000 guests in addition to their members of the legislature in various capacities to attend SOPA.
