The
Emfuleni Municipality is hoping to restore electricity supply to areas of Vanderbijlpark by the weekend.

Several areas were plunged in darkness after a municipal substation exploded on Tuesday.
The fire was reportedly caused by a faulty feeder cable, which blew up the circuit breaker and the transformer.
The affected areas include the Vanderbijlpark CW areas from 1 to 6, Muvhango, Bophelong Ext 1 to 18, Bonanne, and Stephanopark.
