Ramaphosa to deliver eulogy at David Mabuza's funeral service
President Cyril Ramaphosa will on Saturday deliver the eulogy at the state funeral of the late former Deputy President, David Mabuza.
The funeral service will be held at Hoërskool Bergvlam in Mbombela and later proceed to Barberton, where he will be laid to rest.
Mabuza has been afforded a State Funeral Category 2, which includes full military honours.
Mabuza served as deputy president of the ANC from December 2017 to December 2022 and before that, he was the premier of Mpumalanga from 2009 to 2018.
In February 2018, Ramaphosa appointed him as deputy president of South Africa.
When Ramaphosa was re-elected to a full term as president after the 2019 general election, he re-appointed Mabuza as his deputy.
