Queen Mantfombi MaDlamini Zulu has been named the interim leader of the Zulu Nation, according to various reports.

MaDlamini will stand in place of the King while a permanent successor is chosen, but this is yet to be confirmed.
This comes after Isilo Samabandla King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu was planted on Thursday.
After 49 years at the helm of the largest ethnic group in the country, the Zulu monarch died the previous Friday from Covid-19 related complications.
Following the planting of King Goodwill Zwelithini, the Zulu royal family has been in a series of meetings, discussing plans to announce a successor.
It's understood that the contents of the King’s will is also part of the ongoing talks at the Kethomthandayo Royal Palace.
According to an official statement, the family will consult their lawyers this Wednesday.
MaDlamini Zulu is a sister to the current king of eSwatini and the daughter of King Sobhuza II.
“A meeting of senior members of the Royal Family was held at KwaKhethomthandayo Palace on Saturday where various matters were discussed, including matters related to His Majesty’s will. It was decided that a meeting will be held on Wednesday morning with His Majesty’s lawyers,” a statement from the palace read.
